The legend

Legend sais that the sirens failing to bewitch Ulysses with their song, desperate jumped into the sea from the rocks rushing. One of them, sister of the famous Parthenope that gave birth to the city of Naples, before his death gave birth to a nymph, Ocsia. Its iconography came to us is of a woman facing the sea, his hands shaking with a cornucopia inside the cones symbol of the power of nature. Someone links the story of the nymph to the spring image reproduced in a fresco in Pompei exposed to the Archaeological Museum of Naples.
